FNF Super Mario Bros Funk Mix DX is probably one of the best MODs in the entire history of Friday Night Funkin', despite not being as famous or popular as others. This MOD is inspired by the classic retro style of Super Mario Bros on NES, featuring a gorgeous pixel-art 8-bit aesthetic that immediately sets it apart from everything else in the FNF modding scene.

The MOD packs 17 songs of exceptional quality, all inspired by the Mario universe. Every single track shows the incredible attention to detail from the creators — each song is unique, with its own custom stages and distinct visual identity. You won't just be facing Mario either: you'll encounter Luigi, Bullet Bill, Bowser, Waluigi, Boo, and even Sonic & Tails in one of the special crossover songs.

What Makes Funk Mix DX Special

Some battles feature unique mechanics that keep things fresh. The Boo encounter, for example, requires you to dodge fire while your opponent sings — it's a creative twist you don't see in many other MODs. But the most impressive song in the entire MOD, in my opinion, is Green Screen. Its style is so distinctive and different from everything else that it really stands out as the highlight of the whole experience.

Overall, this is a legendary MOD that hasn't received updates in about 4 years, but it's absolutely worth playing. If it's not the best Mario MOD in Friday Night Funkin' history (and for many people, it is), it's at the very least among the top contenders.
